Charles Tomaszewski earned his B.S. with magna cum laude honors from the University of California- Los Angeles (UCLA) in 1979. He then completed Harvard School of Dental Medicine before earning his medical degree from Rush Medical College in 1983. He served his surgical internship and surgical residency at Long Island Jewish Medical Center. He served seven years as a urology resident, including a final year as chief resident at University of Chicago Hospitals. Dr. Tomaszewski completed his postgraduate training in 1993.

Practicing in Phoenix, Arizona since 1993, Dr. Tomaszewski moved his office to Lakewood, New Jersey in 2006. His main focus is on the care of male impotency, infertility and prostate cancer, as well as female incontinence. He is one of a few urologists who performs the perineal prostatectomy for prostate cancer, and is a local leader in the treatment of prostatic enlargement, using an office-based thermotherapy device.

Dr. Tomaszewski is certified by the American Board of Urology, a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and member of the American Urological Association and Society for the Study of Male Reproduction.

He has completed postgraduate coursework in performing extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy (ESWL) (for kidney stone treatment) and laparoscopic surgery.

Dr. Tomaszewski is very active in his profession and in the local community. He is a community lecturer on topics such as prostate cancer, male infertility, prostatitis disease, and sexual dysfunction. In addition, he has published in professional medical journals and presented numerous papers to professional assemblies.
